Skip a step when you Log on to CourtTrax

We recommend that our users create a bookmark on their desktop to logon to CourtTrax. This saves the step of going to our home page first and clicking on the "Client Logon" link.

It's a two step process to create a desktop link:

  • First, log on to CourtTrax. Select "Remember Me" so you won't have to enter your credentials each time.
  • Second, once logged on, click on the icon on the far left of the browser address line and drag the icon to your desktop (Circled at the upper left of the image below).

Next time you logon just click on the link right on your desktop. It's easy and saves you time!

Refreshing the Saved Search list

Have you ever ran a search and then not been able to find it in your Saved Search list?

This happens when you view search results, then close the report and return to the search form. It also happens when you run a name or case number search and use the "Dispatch and Resume" option when you submit the search.

The Saved Searches list is updated each time you click the "Refresh List" link, or when you submit a new search or refresh your browser. So if you can't find your search results in the list, just hit "Refresh List."

Same thing goes for updating the color of your Saved Searches links from blue to purple to show which ones you've seen already. If you've viewed a report but the link for it is still blue -- and you're having trouble keeping track of what you've seen and what you haven't -- just hit Refresh again.

IRIS search form usability improved

We updated our search form to make the new colors lighter to reduce contrast and improve readability, and we streamlined the layout to save vertical space and display more fields when your browser is maximized:

  • the Search Type buttons are now on one line instead of two
  • the Current Court identity is now up onthe Search Title line
(We also removed the Submit Button from the top of the form, since our user feedback told us that no one was using it.)

We are always looking for ways to improve CourtTrax service and our users provide the best suggestions. Take a look and let us know what you think of the new look!
