CourtTrax Bankruptcy Court Name search gets all the data

The Western Washington Federal Bankruptcy Court is comprised of two court databases. The older Case Management system provides information on cases closed prior to January 1, 2000. The newer Case Management/Electronic Case Filing (CM/ECF) system provides information on cases opened after January 1, 2000. Implementation of the CM/ECF system has been underway since early 2001 in the bankruptcy courts, and since 2002 in the Federal District courts.

This means that some of the case information is in the older system, some of it's in the newer system, and some of it's in both systems -- so you'd need to search both systems to be absolutely sure that the name you are searching for is not associated with bankruptcy cases in the past seven years.

Fortunately, IRIS automatically searches both the old and the new systems to make sure you get all the cases associated with the search name.

Our Claims Index makes it easy to navigate a long list of claims in a complex case. You get an easy-to-read table of Creditors with a clear list of each creditor's individual claims, a total for each of the creditor's claims, and the date of the last claim filed by a creditor.

Future Enhancements
We're significantly enhancing our Federal Bankruptcy report options. You'll be able to optionally view the Claims Register and/or Docket entries associated with a case. We're also expanding our basic case report to include associated cases and party name aliases.
