Job description: Web Developer


Reports to: Development Manager

Description ofPurpose and Primary Duties

Designs, develops and maintains presentation layer of multi-tiered web applications, and related infrastructure using HTML/XHTML, CSS, XML, Javascript and HTML templating.  Develops test cases and aides in debugging production problems as needed. Completes required documentation and procedures to support the complete software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to release notes. Participates in analysis, design, estimating efforts for new development projects, and maintaining existing software applications. Completes additional special projects as required.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities

  • Use XSLT to transform raw XML into Dynamic HTML presentation for all web applications.
  • Maintain and enhance corporate web site including HTML and graphics.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance complex and dynamic JavaScript web forms.
  • Suggest and create mockups of web presenation alternatives for project team.
  • Special projects as required

Hours

Office hours are 8am to 5pm. No travel is anticipated. Additional hours may be as required, based on project requirements.

Position Requirements

This is an exempt intermediate level position. The minimum requirements for this position are:

  • 3+ years experience in Software development
  • 2+ years experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML Templating, XML, XSL/XSLT to render dynamic web presentations
  • Experience with Object-Oriented analysis and design methodologies
  • Comfortable within a Apache/Linux development environment
  • Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field
  • Portfolio of websites demonstrating examples of past work, sample code
  • Willing to work in a fast paced and demanding work environment

Valuable Skills additional skills

  • Knowledge and experience with data communication techniques using TCP/IP
  • Knowledge and experience interfacing with SQL databases
  • Knowledge and experience with CVS or other source code control system

Aides in developing test scripts and debugging production problems as needed. Participates in analysis, design, estimating efforts for new development projects, and maintaining existing software applications. Completes additional special projects as required.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities

  • Write data parsing modules to plug into existing software infrastructure.
  • Maintain and enhance existing software infrastructure.
  • Assist project team in writing functional specifications.
  • Propose and implement solutions to complex system challenges.
  • Special projects as required

Job description: Inside Sales Representative


Reports to: Regional Sales Manager

Description ofPurpose and Primary Duties

Responsible performing outbound sales calls and handling inbound calls for product information. Target outbound calls to accelerate sales process with qualified prospects and customers, often working in conjunction with an outside sales representative, while meeting/exceeding established sales quotas. Develops relationships with customers by utilizing excellent communication skills and a high degree of professionalism. Must be able to query and analyze customer's ability and willingness to buy company products and services, and be able to respond to more difficult, complex issues or objections as part of sales process. May have responsibility for a region or set of customers supporting one or more outside representatives and can handle calls in their absence. May occasionally go on outside sales calls and may assist in trade shows.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform outbound sales calls and field inbound sales calls as primary responsibilities
  • Process leads, close accounts, and register new accounts
  • Work with outside sales representatives to identify leads and close new accounts
  • Gathers and logs all call information, sale orders, and profile activity on the leads tracking system
  • Provide backup to customer support for product support and training
  • Identify opportunities to improve company products based on customer input
  • Special projects as required

Hours

Office hours are 7am to 4pm. Some travel is anticipated. Additional hours may be as required, based on project requirements. Actual hours can be adjusted to meet individual needs.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of a four year degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
  • Working knowledge of public records use, with a preference specifically to court records
  • Successful tele-sales history at a company providing business-to-business information or publication services, three years or more
  • Prefer specific knowledge of the Background verification, security, insurance and/or banking industries
  • Demonstrable experience planning, acquiring and growing new accounts
  • Requires good company and product knowledge as well as an understanding of sales policies and procedures
  • Strong understanding and use of Internet technologies

Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proper telephone etiquette and professional attitude and integrity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, changing environment
